Balanced Strength Series

Mindful Movement for Women

Strengthen your mind and body through focused, intentional movement and community.

What is Balanced Strength?

Simply put, it’s an integrated wellness program for women seeking physical and emotional strength and empowerment within a nurturing community of support.

Our classes, workshops, and events combine elements of yoga, meditation, and strength training for a full wellness experience.

This program is anchored in providing accessible and sustainable health practices that put you in the driver’s seat as you move toward how you want to feel and live your life.

Here, you’ll learn to work with the mind-body relationship as a tool to identify how your emotional, physical, and mental well-being is not only connected but highly dependent upon each other.

Through this work, you’ll discover you’ve had the power all along to create the life you desire.

How & Why We Formed Balanced Strength

Lauren and Elizabeth met back in 2006 in Philadelphia while volunteering as outreach workers for transient and homeless youth. Their paths connected by chance 15 years later after discovering they were raising kids in the same school district.

The surprise reunion lead to a professional and personal reconnection to find that they still shared a passion for serving others while promoting and contributing to positive health outcomes. As mothers, community members, and wellness professionals, they collaborated and formed Balanced Strength.

What Clients Are Saying

“Balanced Strength classes are great! They are a perfect blend of yoga and strength training, along with big doses of kindness, inspiration, and humor.

Lauren and Elizabeth make sure that every movement is accessible for each participant, quick to offer alternatives or accommodations as needed. I feel stronger and notice throughout the day how I am moving with more ease.”
