Because I Want To

October 15 - 18, 2026

A fall retreat for celebrating yourself

Three nights to slow down.
Long enough to stop checking your watch.
Long enough for your nervous system to exhale.
Long enough to remember what you want before returning to everything that asks something of you.

Nestled on a private lakefront property in the Pocono Mountains, this intimate retreat offers the kind of quiet that's becoming harder to find. Wake up to the stillness of the water, sip your morning coffee on the private dock, paddle out in a kayak, wander wooded trails dressed in autumn colors, or simply watch the light dance across the lake. With cozy gathering spaces and room to truly exhale, the setting becomes part of the healing.

  • No packed itinerary.

  • No pressure to participate.

  • No forced vulnerability.

  • 100% permission to be yourself.

Permission to nap all afternoon.
Permission to kayak across still water.
Permission to sit by the fire without talking.
Permission to read a book, wander through the woods, laugh until your stomach hurts, journal for hours, soak in the hot tub, pull a tarot card, or simply stare out across the lake with a warm cup of tea.

A peaceful lakeside scene at dusk with a wooden dock, two chairs facing the water, calm lake reflecting the sky, and tree-covered hills in the distance under a fading sunset sky.

This retreat is for you if…

  • You spend so much time caring for everyone else that you struggle to remember what you want.

  • You are tired of people pleasing and want a reset.

  • You want to remember what it feels like to make a choice simply because it brings you joy.

  • You know you need some space relaxation before the end-of-year rush begins.

  • You simply want to go!

What your weekend includes:

Three chef-prepared meals each day, plus coffee, tea, and snacks.

Yoga and breathwork if you are inclined to practice and create some space within.

Meet Your Host

Hi, I'm Lauren.

I'm a therapist, intuitive coach, and someone who has spent the last several years doing the same kind of work I invite others into.

Over the last two years, I've been unlearning some of the deepest beliefs I carried about my own worth.

The ones that told me I had to earn rest.
That my value came from what I produced.
That everyone else's needs came before my own.
That every decision needed a "good enough" reason.

If you've been on your own healing journey, you probably know these beliefs don't disappear overnight. They simply get quieter. They sneak back in wearing new clothes until, before we realize it, we're saying yes when we mean no, apologizing for taking up space, or convincing ourselves we have to deserve joy.

One of the greatest lessons I've learned is this:

Wanting something is enough.

Sometimes the most healing reason to do something is simply...

Because I want to.

That realization changed how I work, how I love, how I make decisions, and how I care for myself.

It's also why I created this retreat.

Not because I have all the answers, but because I know what it feels like to lose yourself beneath expectations, responsibilities, and the constant pressure to be more.

I believe healing doesn't always happen through doing more. Sometimes it happens when we finally give ourselves permission to slow down, listen to our hearts, and remember who we were before we believed we had to earn our worth.

My hope for this weekend is simple.

That you leave feeling more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

That you've laughed deeply, rested fully, breathed a little easier, and remembered that your wants, your needs, and your joy don't require an explanation.

I'm honored to hold this space for you.
